I was wondering if all of you who he this procedure could partake in my survey.
I would like to know what city and state you had your surgery in. What doctor? And if you had a
Successful or negative outcome from your surgery.

Hey there Tracks 83,

This is Kitt and welcome to GERD.  I think if you read the threads and grab a piece of paper you could fill in the info your looking for as many of our members have written their journals re their surgery and how it all went.

There is a ton of valuable info already in the forum so please do  dig in and read.

One of our rules includes "do not ask for personal information from others." Your questions could be considered as personal information as asking for names of Doctors and cities etc..............sorry.  Just my take on the topic.

I'll provide some of your info without violating anything I consider private information. I had my full Nissen in October 2007. It was so worth it and I had a positive outcome. No more GERD symptoms and no more medication. I can eat just about everything but I can't hold the quantity I used to in at one meal. I cannot comfortably drink beer or soda due to the carbonation, but I can have a few sips. I had the surgery performed in a central Connecticut city. I'll skip the doctor's name as that really is private information. Good luck with your survey.

I had a full nissen in April 2008. I am similar to HappilyWrapped but I do take a low dose of ppi every day (10mg). I don't drink carbonated drinks. I am in the UK. I am extremely happy with the outcome! :-)

I had my second Nissen fundoplication done 18 years after the first in December 08. It was done in Florida and was a complete success. I take no drugs of any kind, drink anything I want and returned to normal living. It took 2 months to recover completely.
