Hi Everyone...
So I am still obsessing over this and trying to find some cause of whats going on . And after more searching yesterday I came to the conclusion I have LPR with some GERD. I talked with my ENT as well last night and he agreed with me it was LPR. (I saw him a few weeks ago and he looked at my throat and it was read and irritated)
He also said that ENTs and GI dr's dont always see eye to eye on causes and treatment, and that they are slowly working towards being on the same page. I have tried PPI's and they did not work for me. My ENT said he had not had any patients who had undergone the wrap for LPR, so he had no reference to go off of.
And I must say I am getting increasingly upset as I think about
what the surgeon told me last week... saying my pH probe was "meaningless" (89 acidic reflux episodes was NOT meaningless IMO) and that I could not possibly have stridor because i have never been in the hospital. I live in the Bay Area, and have access some great Dr's and I am almost to the point where I may find a different surgeon who will not make me feel like I did last Friday.
So, my question... has anyone undergone the wrap having the main diagnosis of LPR? Did it help? Are you glad you did it?
Thanks everyone!!
Jodee
