Where is Bill ? Part 1 of 2

I really like the Gremlins movies. My Giz kinda looks like him also. His fur is so long and fluff on his head and face and has a smushed face. I think I may have made a word there, but I like it.
The resident just stopped by to ask how lunch and supper went. I did eat 1 or 2 more bites than yesterday, but the pain was starting again so I stopped. I also used the PCA before eating and once while eating. Then every 10 minutes for the next hour to keep it at bay. He said we'll see what tomorrow brings and might have to wait until Tuesday to go home. He wants me to be able to take in enough on my own and be able to control the pain also.
I guess I understand where they are coming from not wanting to have to admit me for a 3rd time. I also don't want to make the trip in that kind of pain again. This place was all a buzz here the last 2 hours. A lot of people going home. I might be all alone...nah that wouldn't happen.
This extended stay "hotel" sure does have good room service. ; )
Well it's almost benedryll time. YeeHaw! I don't know what I would do without that stuff. I am sure all the nurses have gotten the pass down now that they can just bring it every 3 hours and don't worry about waking me up because I scratch in my sleep. Michelle is on her way back up here. She should get here at about 9:15pm, about an hour and a half. 3 days sure feels like a really long time. All weekend I kept getting asked where is Michelle? One of the nurses left for a weeks vacation Thurs. night and she was almost crying because she probably won't be here to see us off. She said we are like family to her now. She was the first nurse to take care of me. Wow, They brought the benedryll early. She told me that she heard I had to use the PCA a lot earlier and figured it was getting bad so she brought it with my TPN. This staff is awesome.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. I also hope some of you didn't over do it. ; )

Giz loves to sit on my lap. If I sit down he is there with in 30 seconds. He rolls over and wants his belly rubbed constantly. He also sleeps with me, he plops down and slides right up next to me and lays his head on my arm. He will stay there all night.
Well Michelle was rear ended on the last exit ramp 6 miles from the hospital. She's alright, but may have whiplash. The nurses are gonna keep an eye on her tonight too. She had to yield because of construction and the lady behind her decided to floor it. Her car is only 6 months old too. What a pain in my rump! At least she is alright, the car can be fixed.

Wow...you needed one more thing. Good attitude, as usual. A car can be fixed--as long as Michelle is safe, that's the main thing. Glad she's where she can be watched for the whiplash. I'm assuming that there was insurance information exchanged. Good luck with all that.

Here's hoping your stomach gets more accepting of food today. Just little bites, and you know what feels right, so you be the boss. You'll have to insist that the dietary department follows your directions, so you get foods you can handle. Have you tried their egg custard? As you've read in other posts, that's my comfort food when my esophagus and stomach are angry.

Ouch, I am so sorry to hear the Michelle got rear ended but I am relieved to know she is OK.  I am sure that was scary for you and even more so for her.

Bill, I am so glad your nurses are great.  That helps so much.  It has been a long haul for you now but remember one tiny bite afte the other. 

I know you will be addicted to Benadryl when you are all through with this ordeal..............LOL.  I do not know of a treatment center here in MN that deals with addiction to Benadryl but I am sure we could find you one. 

My motto, if you need pain med and it works to help you heal you use it.  Keep on using the Benadryl to keep down the itches.

Your cheering squad is still all here and we will not let you down.

Printer Problems

I had been doing Tech Support for Hewlett-Packard's DeskJet division for about a month when I had a customer call with a problem I just couldn't solve. She could not print yellow. All the other colors would print fine, which truly baffled me because the only true colors are cyan, magenta, and yellow.

For instance, green is a combination of cyan and yellow, but green printed fine. Every color of the rainbow printed fine except for yellow. I had the customer change ink cartridges. I had the customer delete and reinstall the drivers. Nothing worked. I asked my coworkers for help; they offered no new ideas.

After over two hours of troubleshooting, I was about to tell the customer to send the printer in to us for repair when she asked quietly, "Should I try printing on a piece of white paper instead of this yellow paper?"

Do you have a good, really good GP? Have Michelle call them and have her get checked by a Dr. that cares, my goodness, not a medical problem...tell them that Janice is coming down there and they are NOT going to be happy when I do!!! Did they do a C-spine, an MRI Angio or CT? (Obviously, I've been a patient, far too long!!) Seriously, though, call your family Dr. and get someone who cares to look at her.

Kitt, I LOVE! your jokes, I'm sharing them with Tom now too! Very funny!

I really liked gremlins too, Gizmo was so cute! We have two cats now, Casey and JJ; JJ is an orange Maine Coon and plays the suffering older brother to Casey who is an orange plush. Technically they're not brothers and JJ isn't older either..Casey is, by 1 month!!!

I think the wait to get discharged is longer than the days staying here.
We sure do have some more cheering and supporting to do. Tomorrow we will have another member of the wrapped club. Bianca's surgery is tomorrow.

I was beginning to think I was gonna take up permanent residence here. I was fetting very frustrated Saturday. With the severe pain again and Michelle being gone, Things were starting to get to me. I want to thank all of you for pulling me through that day and all the other days also. Thank You my Friends.

Ya hoo home at last! I'm so happy for you Bill. I sure hope your wife is ok. My moped was only 6 months old when it got totaled. Thanks to my helmet I wasn't totaled too. The other stuff I can deal with. I can't believe that doctor in the ER said that. You sure don't have to have any thing broken to be in terrible pain from an accident.

My Gizmo is like that wanting to be on my lap as soon as I sit down. He loves his belly rubbed too. He will paw at me until I pet him. My Gizmo sleeps between my husband and me. My hubby sleeps on his side and Gizmo likes to curl up behind his knees. Sometimes he wedges himself between us. I bet yours is really going to go crazy when you get home. I'm so glad that you're home! Oh, it must feel wonderful to you--eating problems, pain, and all. Home is the best place for you to heal and get better. I was in for only a week and when I got it out it felt heavenly to get out. Just riding home in the car was wonderful. I can't even imagine how good it must have felt to you, after three weeks!

It's going to take some time to get things straightened around, but just take your time, baby that tummy of yours, and be patient. You can do it! You just have to relax into your recovery and let it happen in its own time.

I hope Michelle is okay. It's too bad she had to go through that. Just what you guys needed.

Yehaaaaaaaaaaaa, Bill is home.  I am so durn happy I could do cartwheels.............. Sorry Bill, my niece from North Dakota popped in yesterday and surprised me so I spent time with her and her daughter.  I missed the actual gettin out of the hospital post until this morning.

I was over joyed to log in today and see you are home.  You made it,  and the cheering leading squad done good.

I am hoping Michelle is good.  Often it is a day or two after a car accident that a person will really feel the aches and pains and the stiffness.  I hope she see you local PCP and takes care of herself........I am sure you will be encouraging her to rest when she needs to.
