Janice sent a email saying she will going in for her procedure at 10:30 AM and I sent her a note back saying we would all be sending her good vibes and positive thoughts today. 

So to you Janice, may everything go well and please know your cheering squad is right here, we support you and we love you as one of our wonderful members of this great fourm !

Dear Friends, I have my own posting!! that's funny! You are all so wonderful, thank you for your kind thoughts and cheering and friendship and just being you!

We got back this afternoon, my surgeon is a friend of mine, I've known her for 20 years, since she was a resident at MSU; she left here to go to Cancer Treatment Centers of America when they opened a new facility in Goshen, IN. They left, but she stayed there and opened up The Retreat, a women's health facility, primarily interested in breast health of course, but I know the scope is greatly expanded. Anyway, since it seems I can never stay home to have these procedures done, I traveled out of state for this as well!

My Dr. told Tom that they got good clean margins around the mass, so all is well there; next week I meet with the radiation oncologist to see if there is a next course of action...I'm still in a bit of denial about this whole thing you know! and I'm betting that they'll come back and say that the whole specimen was negative!!!

Well, that's about it for me, I'm a bit sleepy, a touch sore, but no big deal (this has nothin' on a Nissen), and now we wait to see what final pathology says.

Thank you all for standing by me and cheering me on, I am one lucky girl! I really appreciate you!

Glad to hear that things went well, and that you're not too sore. It sounds like you're on the right track...moving forward towards better health! Get lots of rest, and give yourself a chance to heal.

Janice -  WOW! Your done with the proceedure all ready ? I'm so happy for you to have it done and behind you and it sounds like everything went well. That's awesome! Your one strong Lady.

I am sitting here with tears of joy that your procedure is behind you and also hoping that the biopsy report will be favorable.  You know you have a friend here in MN that is cheering you on and all of these wonderful members here in the forum are your extended family.

I'm feeling pretty good actually, little to no pain at all; we go back on Wednesday to meet with the Radiation Oncologist and Naturopathic MD, we'll get the final pathology report and see what they have planned for me next...I, of course, think that it's a big fat nothing!!!, but they see things differently...so, onward and upward!

So good to see you posting.  I am right here cheering for you and know matter what I will be here for you.

We will all pray for a negative biopsy and if not then we will be on the cheering you on through whatever comes up.

Hi Kitt, we already know it's cancer from the biopsy, I just keep telling everyone that there really isn't anything left there :)

It will be interesting to find out just how extensive this really is...or how extensive it really isn't..."Enquiring Minds" want to know....!! (It is nice that there isn't any pain though)

Always thinking of you, and saying lots of prayers that things go just the way you want them to. You're so smart to be proactive, and get ahead of the curve. So many people don't get checked, and as a result, they wait too long to get a positive result. You've done all the right things.

I know I'm new here but I saw this thread and realized you took the time to respond to me and you had just had a major procedure done yourself! That says a lot about you!

I'm not sure exactly what you had done, but know I'm joining the cheering squad and sending all kinds of great vibes so your Wednesday visit is everything you want it to be!

What can I say? I am so blessed to have all of you, I've shared your support with my Husband, he's amazed how we can bond and support each other through the crisis in each others lives. All I can say, is Thank You!, the words that are written, the love and strength that is behind them truly surrounds me like a warm blanket....you really all are wonderful!!

Pathology Report is in:
The information I rec'd is not complete, I'll get that tomorrow, but the report says that it's all DCIS, high nuclear grade, no invasion, and surprisingly (to me anyway) is the size...3.2 cm! Only a small cluster of microcalcifications showed up on the mammogram; I was told it is combined total, one from the target site and more from a distant site. That did it for me! Radiation is definitely in my future.

My surgeon is a long time friend and I know she's saying (at least to herself!) I told you so, I told you so!! haha! I'm amazed that so much of this didn't show up on the mammogram and the ones I get are digital too!

So, I head back tomorrow and meet with the RO and the Naturopathic MD and find out what he recommends for radiation. I'll let you know!

Thank you for standing by me, all of you. I think Bill can understand how deeply this affects a person to have the support that I've received from everyone; I'm humbled by it, I'm thankful for it and I'm better because of it.

I still believe you are way stronger than me. Go at this head on and you will come out on top. We will be here praying, cheering, and waiting with open arms for gentle hugs or a shoulder to lean on if you need it. I do know what you mean and there is no way to describe the feeling of friends being there.
Try to get some sleep tonight, but if you are like me you probably won't. That is understandable too.

Janice - I'm at a loss fo words. I'm sorry for you to be facing radiation. I'll keep you in my prayers and thoughts. My mother did radiation and chemo and you really need to stay as postive as you are now to help you through.

Good Morning My Dear Friend Janice,

I know you are probably on the road again.  I am sorry the report turned out as it did but I am glad you are facing it head on.  I want you to know I am always here for you.   It does me good to be on my knees so you just go find out what the next step is and we will be walking beside you with each step you take toward beating back this disease.

Coming from a long family history of cancer I am a  soldier in the army fighting cancer so you have a ally in me.  You are much loved and supported by all here.

Use us as we are here for you always. ((((HUGS))))
