Hi Sunshine,
GERD created so much burning in my stomach and esophagus at times, that I could eat very little. I was only able to tolerate less than a quarter of a cup of food at these times. Whenever this happened, it took months to heal, and I'd lose a great deal of weight.
I didn't have nausea--more pain, and the feeling of a lump behind my breast bone.
Good luck with your problem, Sunshine.
I hope your stomach feels better soon. Anxiety is a common problem associated with GERD. I'm assuming you've gone to a GI specialist, and if you don't get relief with him/her, consider getting a second opinion. It was only after switching GI docs that I was able to get to the point where I got real relief. Just a thought.
Take care, and feel better,
Denise
