I had dizzyness at the beginning of my GERD and it has come on and off.
I'm 25 and have gone through EKG, Holter Monitor, Echo, Event Monitor as they thought it was my heart at first due to palpitations.
Wasn't until they did and endoscopy they saw the erosions and they specified to me that it was right next to my heart.
They started me on Kapidex and have been on it for 1 month and am about 50% better.
I combine it with natural remedies, aloe vera, mastic gum, manuka honey.
Also take some other stuff, email me if you are interested.
After this I still have my bouts of what we will call dizzyness. I can relate as its not so much dizzyness as pressure? Like you are in a cloud or daze and sometimes it gets to the point you can't really think.
They say after another month I should be better. But I discovered one thing that has really been helping me.
It's an antacid called Gaviscon. I try to only take it once a day in the evening and grind out the morning.
But after I take it I feel so much better like day and night better.
They say that Gaviscon is the only medicine that coats the whole esophagus, mind you that I still have the dull pain but the rest of the effects are substantially less.
And yes i've done my research as to why these things happen.
Everything from the nerves around the esophagus, to breathing to the acid hitting your erosions and what they say affects the lungs. Think cooking a steak and what happens with fumes.
To the throath being connected to the ear and having vertigo due to imbalances.
Also read up on silent GERD which explains many people's allergies, there was an interesting article on that.
In my opinion, this is due to how hygenic we have become and industrialized.
We use to live with parasites and worms that were beneficial to us and now we are so clean that the body fights those things that we use to live with and hence many problems.
Yes disgusting but an interested point of view.
So try Gaviscon. It might help as it helped me, and i'll keep reading as frankly it's comforting knowing other people are going through this.
Others see this as a common illness, but they don't understand that some people have it worse or react worse due to anxiety.
It affects that QUALITY OF LIFE....but I am thankful as it has made me more sympathetic to others.
Just continue on and pray for the best, God has things under control even when we think or feel he doesn't.
