anyone have a 24 hour probe. does it help give data. also, my doc wants to do this without an impedance test. shouldnt he do both so we can get data on acid and non acid refluxes

The 24 hour probe measures pH of the esophagus. That's fine, but you also need at least a manometry test to measure the strength of you swallowing. That's important in the case of surgery to see how tight the wrap needs to be.

so if your manometry is good then tighter wrap, more loose if bad manometry

Has anyone had propofol during an endoscopy??  I'm afraid after what happened to Michael Jackson...  I know different circumstances but still scared!!

Again, they use it all the time. There are 1000's of scopes done in the USA everyday, most people do just fine.

If your really concerned, you could do it unsedated, its not fun, but dosent really hurt, and only lasts 3-4 mins, plus you can go right home.

And with MJ, def totally differnet. You will do fine. Ask your doc about any concerns you may have.
