Am on nexium I take morning 40 mg and 40 evening. Been having problem where my teeth breaking off and declaying so fast. My dentist believes it from acid. So my gasterogist suppose do a test and measure acid levels . By going down through my mouth and stuff on april 7. But he told me even if I do have to much stomach acid there isn't much he can do because am on nexium which suppose get ready of 98% of acid. Cuz sense been little have acid relux disease and always have apthous ulcers in my mouth and no doctor sure yet how to treat them.... So does anyone know anything else tell my gasterogist try do whatever. Been on every acid relux pill there is nexium helps little bit but I still get pain in middle of my chest and burn and sour taste in my mouth and throw up sometimes in my mouth still

Sounds like your GI Doctor is moving ahead with appropriate tests. Other members will be posting some info for you I am sure so hopefully you will find some answers to your concerns.

The acid from reflux can weaken the enamel on your teeth. You can get your teeth capped (expensive). Another approach would be to try 1-2 Gaviscon at night just before bed. You have to use the chewable kind. After you chew it swallow and take 1 sip of water. This will create a foam barrier and may help keep the acid from coming up into your throat. My doctor told me about this during one of my acute phases. You do have to sleep with the upper part of your body slightly raised.

Sounds like you're getting the right steps taken towards seeing if you're a good cantidate for the surgery. That's probably in your future.

I have had some relief from Kapidex 60 mg. Maybe you could get a months supply of samples to see if it helps. Some insurance policies don't authorize this but it is good. Why are you having to wait so long for your test? I agree with Joy, you may be a great candidate for surgery. I hope you get some relief ASAP.

Well with my gasterogist takes forever get in and get anything done but I see him every 3 months. Am getting test where going look around and take samples see if there is anything abnormal but then again he said if there is to much acid there isn't much he can do cuz on best pill take acid away if that isn't working doesn't know what will. Already lost 6 my jaw teeth had to have them cut out cuz something eating my teeth and my dentist thinks it acid.could acid be in sliba cuz always have tons of it in my mouth? am getting test on april 7 but I won't see him again until June or so know about it

I'm sorry you have to wait such a long time to get results. I sure hope you get relief soon.
