Just an update

So I have come to find out that after stopping the aciphex which was causing more problems than it was fixing I have a pretty bad sinus infection. I am now on antibiotics and hoping for something to finally clear up after months of feeling like crap and thinking that at just about any moment my head is going to explode and my throat close. The only problem is after being off of aciphex I have started to burp up stuff. I was wondering is Tums or Rolaids good for indigestion and those kind of things?

Tums never fully helped me. I only took Nexium and Zantec.

I used the malox chewable tablets quite often because tums and rolaids didn't work for me.

Are you sure you have a sinus infection? The congestion could just be from the rebound reaction of stopping aciphex. Did you just stop cold turkey on the aciphex?

I prefer Extra Strength Gaviscon, to Tums or Rolaids.

If aciphex didn't agree with you, have you tried Prevacid 24HR? I have very few side effects with that.

Hey if you have a sinus infection--or ever feel one coming on try using Sinu-Cleanse or Net Poti.  Basically a sinus saline rinse.  I was skepical at first but after 5-10 minutes after sinuses dry and water drains---boy what relief.  As soon as I feel pressure or get stuffy I use this.  Really great and of course drug free.  Also beware--anitbiotics are a well known stomach irritant.  Good Luck!
