Hi Barb,
So glad you had a nice weekend. Hope you don't catch anything from you little sick visitor. How annoying that you made the trip to the doctor and they hadn't given you the right paperwork. It is maddening.
Thought I should include a little update about my bile reflux issue. It's intermittent, and at the moment I'm not having any, thankfully. I do get an easily irritated wrap--it really doesn't like it when I eat celery. I'm guessing it's a bit quirky/tight and things drag going through. Since my wrap is created out of my very sensitive stomach, it makes sense.
I do take the Carafate suspension four times a day. It is a miracle drug for me. My GI doc said the suspension is the form I need to take because it coats the esophagus, in case I'm having that retained food/bile/whatever floating around in it. It also does a good job of coating that sensitive, complaining wrap area. Wish I didn't need it, but am thankful it works so well. I'm knocking on wood about the remission of the bile reflux and sour taste. Let's hope it lasts!
Have a great week!
Denise
