Introducing Myself

Hope your apt goes well. Thanks so much for your support. I am sure that that this will get better but I have to say, this is a
difficult time to get through.

I had a dr's apt and he gave me for anxiety med, plus something plus something to help the throat closes when food does not go down, and changed the other reflux drug which is carrying me thru the Dexilant taking full effect.
I am this really high-strung person, but I like it that way-or did until it began to adversely hit me physically. I think that I told you that I had no idea at the beginning I was having reflux-thought it was just stress-waking up in the night with swallowing issues. My many tests were done to rule out gall gladder-were not definitive-but I did have an enlarged G duct. Whether this is all related no
one knows. So Now I Side ache left-BG system. But I am left with reflux that got much worse. I am on lots of stuff now-and as long as I get better I am fine with it. Yesterday was awful-could not eat without food feeling stuck , and after making the changes that I was told to do today, I am able to eat my broth with chicken and noodles. I am sending up praises -thankful for small steps forward. I am glad that you have found someone who can help you as I have. I have tried to be so stoic and help everyone in my family but myself and it has caught up. Sorry this is so long. Thanks again to all of your support-it means a lot to me.

I am so sorry you had all of that with young children. I did have migraines with young kids-that was hard. I do not have them now-one benefit of getting older. My side pain ended with every test showing the gall bladder working as it should and no stones. Still that has not been ruled out-so go figure. and I see that I said-left side-it was right upper quadrant-
shows how crazy I was yesterday. I do have a fatty liver the kind not caused by being over weight or alcohol related, so I am to keep my weight at the lower end -GI dr wants me at 125 for 5'5"-but my dr /friend says just keep within a range-giving me a tiny bit of slack. I hear that gall bladder can really impact acid reflux. GERD. etc. But I am thankful to be feeling better and able to eat for now. If the side ache returns I will "kick up a fuss" ! I have a nurse daughter who thinks it is my GB-her dr that she works for is a pediatrician and think idea too. In the US everything is insurance driven-so there has to be more definitive for surgery, it appears. I am now knowing more about GERD that I want to, unfortunately, because I have so many of the weird things. It is very comforting to know that other people have gone through this and that they are better. So, again thank you and all who respond. I used to be a Stephen Minister and from that training and working with care receivers, I can tell you you are doing all of the right things-showing God's presence by our presence is what we said. Or showing caring/kindness is that way. I appreciate all prayers-I am first saying thankful prayers for blessings-especially for people who care and small steps in healing-then for continued healing for all going through this and others illnesses and suffering. peace-Mimi

I really am feeling better. I was able to eat a real meal last night-early. I am thankful. I will look into herbs when I am stable for longer. DGL really, really sets my IBS going, so I am tiptoeing around adding anything yet. The IBS really complicates treating the GERD symptoms and vice versa. Still I am making notes of things that can help the liver and any other things that have helped others.I have some supplements that I plan to try when I am on an even keel. Even vitamins mess with my IBS. So I am a mess-have to do everything slowly.I so appreciate your responses and continue to have everyone in my prayers. Peace-Mimi
