THIS IS IF YOU HAVE ACID REFLUX AND NOT ACID DEFICIENCY
If its out of control pain that means the tissue is really irritated, avoid low ph foods till that passes as they will further irritate the tissue.
for food ph:

*note : Careful with unions, garlic and spices as well which don't register as low ph.
Avoid vegitables that have skin shells till the pain is under control for example corn , beans, apple skin. What happens is these fibrous skins rub against the irritated tissue and cause more pain. You can puree them if you like with a blender and it may go down easier.
Quantity is the most important factor you cannot fill yourself up or the acid will climb up to the top of your stomach and up your esophagus.
Eat more carbs and protein. Carbs i find are the safest calories. If i mix I eat the protein first and then the carbs. The stomach acid is there to help digest protein not fat or carbs.
Take a multivitamin if your having trouble getting all the foods you need in to balance your diet.
Try meal replacement shakes for times when the burning was bad your last meal and you dont want to eat anything heavy.
I eat 6 meals a day.
Try to maintain good sleep habits they are needed to regulate your internal systems.
***VERY IMPORTANT***
Anxiety and being emotional MAKE IT WORSE!!! Do or find whatever it takes to make sure you are at peace in your life. The gut has a brain of its own that is connected to the brain in your head. Those emotions and anxiety will make your gut act even worse.
Hope you get over this hump soon.
