I guess I just needed somewhere to vent where people understand what Im going thru. Yesterday morning I started having a very bad stomach ache and eventually made itself way into my chest ,neck and head. Checked my BP was 159 /100 but I think it was cause I was stressing, I knew it do that (note to self dont check BP when extremely excited until calming down) it would come down and then up but the top number was significantly higher than my bottom numbers(Dr said my BP numbers show that this is being caused by stress) When the chest and tummy pain wouldnt subside it became unbearable and took myself to the ER. They checked my blood pressure and it was 159 /92 and it gradually came down but found out the pain in my tummy and chest were the culprit . It didnt feel like a heart attack just lots of chest pain that penatrated thoughout my back and wow the burning in my stomach was pretty bad. I was given maalox which helped my tummy and morphine for the chest pain, when asked how bad the pain between 1 and 10, I said " maybe a 6 or 7" found out it was worse than what I thought . The morphine relieved some of the pain but not all . I was given maalox with zidacaine? I believe thats what I was told and numbed my insides "felt pretty good too". I also found out I have anemia , had a series of blood work done for liver folic acid etc. My chest x- rays are perfect and was told my heart is in excellent condition( the pain isnt coming from my heart). The rapid heart beat (which isnt too bad these days) ,the BP rising is all being caused by the pain from the tummy and chest. I have found that the pain is radiating between my stomach and esophagus it get so bad it leaves me hunched over. While I was there they wanted to see how bad it gets after a meal so was given a small apple sauce OMG it felt like a heavy brick landing at the bottom of my stomach and from there irritated it so bad ,started having chest pains again. Once again I was hunched over in pain and given maalox to help with the discomfort. Im glad this was done while I was there, I thought it was a great idea that they see for themselves whats going on and how bad the GERD is and now for the first time Im going to have a scope sent out to explore into the dark unknown, its about
TIME! One thing I did ask the DR and that was about
my breathing issues which I know are due to this GERD but she insist its the amount of stress its putting on me thats causing the not being able to catch a deep breath. Possible, but I still say its due to both. Now I notice my blood pressure sky rockets only when the symptoms of GERD are out of hand other than that my blood pressure readings are usually normal so she believes no way is it high blood pressure but the pain and stress of my health. Im on pantaloc 2x a day a heavy tranquilizer now and I have a DR's appt thursday plus some blood work but not much. One more thing, Im 44 yrs old with a 4 yr old Mild to moderate son with PDD(autism spectrum)she believes the stress of dealing with this may also be adding to alot of the stress. Ive seen pyschs who also believes this to be true and adding to the stress in turn causes the GERD to act up. My heart goes out to all of you whether its dealing with GERD ,Heart or any debilitating disease that takes you away from living the life you once knew or maybe can have back at some point in our lives. The season of loving and giving is upon us once again and I hope that we can all enjoy this wonderful time with our families in peace. Thank You so much for taking the time to listen to my small complaints when I know there is so much hurt going on in this world.
Happy Holidays
