Got the results from both scopes. The good news is no cells changes from last time, but for some reason there is a lot of irritation at the wrap. He decided to dilate it a tiny bit thinking food and such is sitting there causing it. I had ok'ed it prior. He said the wrap was very tight. He still wants to use the camera to check my small intestine though, just waiting on pre cert for that. He asked how the Dexilant was working, no better than the Prilosec. He gave me more samples and wants me to give it a couple months and see how it goes. If it isn't helping by then he wants to go back to prevacid or achiphex since they worked the best before.
Now for the fun stuff! Found out I can drink beer! As long as it is from a bottle. No drafts.... to many bubbles. Had one draft and was bloated for a couple hours a few weeks ago. New Years Eve I tried bottled beer and all was good! LOL! I must be getting old though..... I only drank 2 and switched to bottled water. Or maybe it's just too many years of not being able to drink it. Who knows. I even had a designated driver...my daughter. Oh well, at least my euchre team was undefeated! Me and Sis kick butt! Well it was kind of unfair, the rest were pretty drunk.LOL!
Watch out for a ornery little trojan virus that looks like a disk defragment tool. My daughter caught it last night. tough little bugger, but I got rid of it. If you get it I can tell you of a free remover. She thought her hard drive went bad. That's what it tells you, then it wants you to buy their program to fix it. It lets you on for about 10 minutes then reboots to what looks like safe mode, but isn't. It jujst hijacks your computer and won't let you get to your program uninstall either.

I was checked many years ago. I do have it, sort of. More hypopneas than true apneas. Took them 4 sleep studies to convince my insurance to let me try the cpap. Then I couldn't handle the mask. So I tried the nasal type. It caused nose bleeds even with the humidifier. So off to the ENT I went. First out came my nasty huge cheesy tonsils and then he fixed my deviated septum and reduced my tubinates. I get way less sinus problems now, but still can't get along with the cpap machine. They tried several different ramp ups even bi pap too. I have lost quite a lot of weight and every time I have surgery I tell them I have sleep apnea and they can't believe I do because I don;t have the tell tale signs like thick neck etc. Since I lost the weight it has been a lot better and I sleep on my side mostly now, which helps a bunch.
My wife has been checked too and they say she doesn't have it. She snores really bad and has the enlarged thyroid too, but according to the 2 sleep studies she doesn't have it.
I also used to be the person everyone thought was nuts in the winter. I dind't need to wear a lot of heavy clothes to stay warm, but in the last year or so I can't seem to fins=d a way to stay warm enough. I constant;y wear a hoodie inside and I used to just sleep in my underwear, now I have to wear fleece pajama bottoms and a shirt to bed and quite often those footies you get at the hospital too. Not just in the cold moths either. My wife has fans going in the summer and I am freezing. Every time my temp is taken at the doctors it's always 97.5 or lower. My hands and feet are always cold. Wasn't this way a year ago. I was the one my wife snuggled up to to stay warm, now it's just the opposite. I always have 2 or 3 blankets.

Hi Bill and Joy,
I usually have the opposite problem...always hot. Joy, my brother had sleep apnea, and he's on the CPap machine. It has made a huge difference for him. He was falling asleep at the drop of a hat before...now he feels much better.

I have an antivirus program that has been catching that trojan regularly. It seems that some Google sites are just virus sites. It does send up a page that looks like a Windows message. I've been hit multiple times in the same session. It seems to have subsided recently.

I hope all is well, and that everyone is having a good beginning of the new year! Joy, glad you had a few extra days off! I presume you're enjoying every moment.

Yay! No surgery! Now that IS good news.

My son was just given six boxes of books from the family of a past student. He gave them to me to look through and separate into good and bad. What a nice thing to do! They look like beautiful books. I'm looking forward to sorting through them. I already saw some board books that I'll be confiscating for baby Ryan!
