8 weeks after wrap

Hi

Its now 8 weeks after my wrap. All has gone really well until this week.

My mouth is constantly filling up with fluid and my gullet is now burning all the way to my stomach when I eat or drink.

Im worried the acid is back, or I wonder if Im still quite tender and having a bit of a flare up.

Has anyone else had anything like this?

You maybe having a flare up from still being tender.
Have you recently stopped PPIs? This can cause a rebound from the withdrawal. If so you need to wean off them slowly.
Did you overeat? It shouldn't be over 3/4 cups of food at your point of healing.
Did you rush your diet? Did you eat something you should of waited on? At 8 weeks you should be avoiding:potatoes, steak, raw veggies, raw fruit, bread and anything you can't chew to a liquid.

I stopped PPi's straight after surgery and wasnt told to take them so Ive had no medication since my wrap.
Chances are I could have eaten something I shouldnt, or too much.
Ive stopped caffiene completely since this started and just on green tea.
If Ive eaten to much could this affect my wrap, or would it just cause a flare up.
Ive been eating most things except potatoes and meat for the last month as my surgeon told me liquids only for 4 weeks.
Maybe I need to reduce my portions and avoid bread.

Eating too much will cause some rebound because your stomach is smaller.
Bread does get stuck. You can do very dry toast and crackers.
