Gat,
you are still healing from your surgery. During the first four weeks your stomach is still swollen from the surgery. It cannot handle as much food as it used to. Any solid foods that you try to force past the swollen wrap will give you reflux and hurt you.
I remember in week one for me all I could do was drink liquids. I remember the painful hiccups of trying to eat more than my stomach can handle.
My surgeon had a very strict diet code that he told me to follow so I would have the least problems with food. He insisted that I not consume more than a half cup to 2/3 cup of food a meal. He said I could eat as often as I wanted to, but not large amounts each meal.
For the first 2 to 3 weeks I drank only foods that are liquids when you swallow them. For example: muscle milk, Carnation instant breakfast milk, Chicken broth, beef broth, Jell-O, Edy's frozen fruit bars, Italian ice, any juice but orange juice.
During the fourth week I was able to add very watery cheese grits, Vienna sausages, soups with small noodles, scrambled eggs, crackers.
Around the sixth week was able to eat tender fish, Raman noodles, and chicken if it was cut up small.
Somewhere around the eight week I was able to eat hamburger meat, but I had to chew very carefully.
By about
a week 10 or 12, I was enjoying normal food. He insisted that I wait on eating bread, steak, potatoes, and rice the last week.
Congratulations on being in the Wrap club and I hope what I've said to you will help you. If you have any more questions feel free to start your own thread so others can find you easier.
