Gerd coming back after Nissen?

I had Nissen performed 2 years ago. I was able to eat what ever I wanted up till a month ago. The Gerd is back and terrible. I was also diagnosed with Barrets that I did not have two years ago (no displasia). Has anyone had the Nissen for a second time? Also, does anyone have Barrets and has had it for a while. Very scared, 37 years old with two small childeren and my wife. Dad passed away from esophageal cancer and brother passed away from a different cancer.

I've had the nissen done 3 times, all of them were too loose so I'm getting a second opinion on what to do next. I don't really want it done a 4th time. Healing was the same after each one. I don't have Barrets though.

Hey, I also had the Nissen 2 and 1/2 years ago and could eat anything! I think I am starting to have some chest pain and am fearful the reflux is coming back. I also was diagnosed with Barretts with no dysplasia. I just received a letter in the mail from my gastrenterologist about a procedure called Halo ablation that is suposed to eliminate the Barretts. I also saw on the internet a new procedure called TIF Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication that might be an option instead of a Nissen again. Best Wishes,

I just finished treatments at the Mayo Clinic in AZ for Barrets and they used the Halo Ablation on me. Next stop for me is a Nissen 270. Hopefully that will end all of this misery. Although I was told that I would have to have an EGD once a year for the rest of my life to check on the Barrets.
