Anybody else experiencing inexplicably vivid nightmares. I am not sure whether it's the PPIs or the GERD itself.

I actually did not give it a lot of thought, but one of the doctors asked me about my dreams but I didn't ask why he's asking.

I cannot begin to explain the kind of unbelievably weird dreams I experience. It seems that it's worse when I have my naps during the day.

Sometimes it gets so intense that I can't move for a couple of minutes after waking up and I don't know where dreams stop and reality begins. I dream that I have woken up only to realize that the waking up is a dream...real "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" ****

It is like nothing I have ever experienced.

Anyone else?

That's fascinating. I have had more vivid dreams, but only after taking melatonin. I didn't notice any difference before that.

To  the best of my knowledge, vivid dreams may be a side effect of PPIs.

May I suggest you talk with your Dr. re which medicatons would have few side effects such as dreams.

And I am planning to start taking Melatonin. That would be a wild ride, he...? cool turn rolleyes

Well don't hold your breath. Apart from the dreams, melatonin hasn't had much of an effect on me. I've only gone a week and a half, though, so things may change over time. I'll stick it out at least a month.
