Hi people, I decided my last thread was becoming very long so I better start a new one. I had my nissen fundoplication done on 03/18/2011, and I have had a good recovery in the sense that I can burp, I am almost pain free, my incisions are healing very well also, the swallowing situation is still a little bit hard, but it is not something unbearable. The problem comes when I think that my surgery is not fixing my GERD symptoms, I have still this burning in my chest, which makes me think that everything failed. My surgeon doesn't seem too concern about it, he just think it is normal, but to be honest I am in a panic stage. Many people in this forum have said also that is normal, but I am still worried about it. For me the PPIs and antacids stopped working way before the surgery. So I take them now when I feel the burning in my chest and they do absolutely nothing. Have you people have this sensation after the surgery? and if you do for how long?
