Barium Swallow Results

Well I had a wonderful breakfast drink of Barium this a.m. YUMMY! Gag. The doctor that performed the test said that my hiatal hernia was not that large, however, my LES is wide open. Everything I drank came right back up into my esophagus. He said this surgery will be well worth it and praised the Surgeon that will be working on me.

So now it is just a matter of a little over a week and I'll be wrapped. It's a hard time for me to be doing this, however, I have an uncle who is 85 and in the hospital with a heart valve issue, it's not looking good. My grandmother (his mother) is 101 years old and lives with him, so we have been having to take turns being with one or the other. Very sad and very emotionally draining. I don't like to see people suffer especially loved ones.

Anyway, just thought I would report the findings. Thanks for everyone's support.

Wow, you sure have longevity in your family!
I guess you will have to bow out of the sitting until you feel better.
You'll feel better once the surgery is done.
