I dont know if my case is like yours but here it goes
about 2 years ago I was taking this pill to slim down. It was without prescription and since a friend was taking it and I needed to lose weight I tried it. After like 4 days I started to feel symptoms like: dryness in my mouth, something stuck in my mouth, acid coming out my mouth, and then my tongue started to crack, like get fissures on it. Then I started to have bad taste in my mouth.. I was taking 1 pill on empty stomach 1 hour before breakfast. After 2 weeks I couldnt take it anymore, my mouth was soo bad and I felt miserable. I started to have hoarseness in my voice. I waited like 4 months thinking all the symptoms would go away, some did, but the hoarseness, acidity, and dry mouth and cracks on tongue stayed. I went to Gastro, did endoscopy, was put on Nexium. After a month I went back to my home country and went to ENT, was put on Pariet for 6 months. No improvement. After 1 year and half from when it started (This past July) I saw:
1- Thyroid doctor, did tests, no problems
2- He sent me to another ENT - had tests and wanted to evaluate for Sjogern Syndrome since I had dryness
3- Sent me to Joints doctor and dermatologists and both ruled out Sjogern.
4- Went to Neurologist bec my mouth bothers me too much - said nothing is wrong with my tongues nerve.

I feel burning in my stomach now and my tongue burns, it is so sensitive. I feel I am always full, its like even after 1 hour I feel food sits in my stomach! I do burp from time to time, I dont feel like vomiting. I have constipation. I have bad taste in my mouth, throats are always red and hurt. I wake up with a very dry mouth and tongue, and it is kindda white. I am always in a bad humor because this bothers me so much its affecting ME!! I sweat TO GOD I feel I could kill myself.

I am married and I have a son, and I feel I dont want to feel like this since I am a mother. I feel so miserable. I am 30 and I feel this past 2 years someone switched places with me. Its not me. I hate it! Some people say its all in my heard others say its stress. GIVE ME A BREAK! I feel it, I know its there.!!

Anyway, 2 weeks ago I had another endoscopy a new doc wanted to do.. Said I had GERD, but didnt seem worried. Put me on PPI and Motilium. only 3 pills a day. And to be honest, after 10 days I stopped the treatment. I feel I dont trust doctors anymore, like no one can help me :(

I sent you an email.. I hope you can answer me.. I really need help. I can even fly to USA to see someone. Even to Mars I can fly..

Hi gerdo , I'm not sure if you'll get to read this or not but I had to join this forum just to reply to this thread.
I've been looking for answers for well over a year now after I took a moths course of an antibiotics called " tetrasyl " that triggered off a terrible bout of reflux and other symptoms that have never gone away.
All my life I've suffered with constipation which has also gave me a prostate condition. I'm only 20 though !.
Anyway I was given these antibiotics and towards the end of the course I started to develop constant nausea and severe burning in my stomach , within a few months I'd lost 2 stone in weight !. Now I'm malnourished , have multiple food allergies , I'm b12 and b9 deficient and am constantly experiencing as you mentioned a throat that feels as if it's closing up , my stomach is always burning , I can't digest carbs and I just generally fee horrible.
I'm positive it was those antibiotics and also stress at the time that caused all of my digestive problems just like yourself.
I had an endoscopy done that shown erosion of the esophagus , erosion of the stomach lining and also acid reflux. I was prescribed omeprazole ( a PPI ) and whilst it helps slightly I feel like they're never getting to the underlying course.

The thing that has helped me more than anything it seems is a probiotic of acidphilous everyday that sort of works like a pain killer for me !. I'm convinced my problems are all to do with my Pylorus now since I seem to also experience many symptoms of dumping syndrome which as you might now is also to do with the stomach passing food into the intestines too quickly ( through the Pylorus I think ).

Could it be that antibiotics along with stress put severe strain on the Pylorus. It's an interesting theory.

I am going through the same thing you have been suffering with. I have trouble swallowing in the throat area. I have taken prilosec for about 2 years and still developed this problem. I under went an upper GI and they discoveredperceived dysphagia and a small ulcer in the body of the stomach. My doctor prescribed me to dexlient 60mg and reglan with I refused to take because of the risk so now im just on the dexilant because he told me their was no other medication out there to treat this. I am stressed out from the situation at hand which is causing more stress and is not helping my situation. Although my systoms do not seem as bad as your had to deal with, which i feel so bad for you, i can only imange the pain and stress. I think I will print this article out and let my doctor read it. I am suffereing from GERD for past 6 months.My Endoscopy tests show Eosophagatitis and Gastritis with acid regurgiration.Taking Lansprpozole 40 mg everyday.This was all sudden ,I have never had any issues with stomach. I was under stress for sometime so that could have initiated this.I read numerous posts but was impressed with yours.It would be of great help if you could send me your email.I can put my queries in that,
