Hello, I'm a 22m and I've been having constant forced burping and heartburn. What I mean by forced burping is I have to force the burp to come, or it feels like it won't, and when it does, it doesn't feel like a normal burp. I told the doctor about
a month or so ago that I was burping a lot, and she just told me it was acid, and that was it.
I have always loved spicy food, and have gotten heartburn in the past, but now I am more worried about
it. Today I had BBQ'd pork, and just a few hours later, I could feel it. When I tried drinking water, it hurt a little in my chest as it went down, but now it's fine and I'm just burping again. I was eating chocolate yesterday and had the same type of chest pain as I ate it.
One other symptom is shortness of breath. It's not that I can't breath, but more so that I can't take a deep breath. I try to take a deep breath and I am unable to for a little bit, but then I finally get it and feel relieved, only to have it happen a little bit later. I am usually aware of my breathing when this happens too. The doctor said it was anxiety, and I have had this for about
4 years now, on and off, but I'm starting to wonder if it's acid related.
I'm somewhat of a hypochondriac, so I'm always assuming I have the worst possible thing, like cancer, and am just hoping I can make dietary/lifestyle changes that will help.
