Shoulder Pain

Hi All-

Saturday night I experienced some intense shoulder pain.

I haven't had it since the few days following my Nissen.

Is it from the op two and a half months ago do you think,

or does that pain go away and never come back again?

Hi Darryl,

I'm sorry I don't have any advice about the shoulder pain as I've not had the Nissen. It does seem though that it is a normal part of the recovery process from the posts I've read by other post-op Nisseners :) On another note, how have you been overall since the surgery? Are you eating fairly normally now? Able to eat trigger foods without heartburn? You had posted about exercising at one point. How is that going? Are you able to exercise? Intensely? Are you back to work and feeling pretty good?

Thanks for the feedback. Yup - I think it only happens when I push it on the eating front! I guess it's a nerve that's still sensitive. It's less scary when you associate it like that. First I was worried about how they say you get pains on the left when you're about to have a heart attack... But I am pretty sure it's just the surgery pain.

Efit - yeah, I am on very very light exercises at the moment. I walk / jog. Do yoga / streching exercises. Am not ready to hit any kinda intensity button as yet. I can still feel my body is sensitive. But all good. I do however have slight reflux from time to time. Very light compared to before, and it hasn't made me vomit or choke awake at night. Again, only when I overdo it on the eating - and I have been pushing it at times, purely because I can. Eating and drinking things I previously would not dared to try.
