acid coming into your throat/mouth?

For those of you who suffer this symptom, how often do you get it?

I never got this symptom...or should I say, I had it happen maybe once a year, which I figured was normal for your average person. But it has happened 3 times in the past month and is making me wonder if it isn't my reflux worsening. Do those of you with this symptom get it only a few times per month, almost daily, or how often?

Very occasionally I'll feel a reflux episode that hits the back of my throat when upright.

The sour taste in the mouth? I get that each morning, or if I take a nap during the day...since I don't sleep well at night. Doesn't matter if I'm in bed with my wedge, or in the recliner.

The only way to diagnose your reflux is to have a pH study, and that will tell you how many episodes, how frequent, and to what degree. 95% of individual reflux episodes go unnoticed by the patient, unless open erosions are present in the esophagus.

I'd read somewhere last year that it has to do with the breathing and the capillary action of the esophagus .. so as we breathe .. the liquid flows up the esphageal tube.
