Hi everyone. Got home from hospital Wed from nissen fundoplication with hernia repair on Monday. Actually am doing so much better than I had been prepared for. Some pain at incision points and tiring very easily but only a few gas pains now and then and not severe at all. Still on clear liquids till I see Dr onWed which is getting pretty boring. Soup, jello, juice and water. I am really ready to try something a little more substantial like pudding or real soup. Hubby wants me to wait a few more days since I am doing so well so far. My fear now is that I am going to rush things and I really don't want to do that but this sitting around doing nothing is not me unless I feel sick which I don't. I think I might have been better off this firt week at least if my surgeon hadn't done such a good job. Even in hospital the nurses were surprised at progress I made the first day or so! Very glad it's over with no chest pains, heartburn or reflux. I have been able to burp since the first evening which I feared I was not going to be ble to do at all. Guess I should be thankful in the long run. Hope all the other newbies here have the same good luck!!!
