Hi Dany, I'm glad you made the tea. Did you get it from Chakra? That's where I get mine, I'm lucky to have them only minutes away from me. The quality is truly amazing! Since you are so delicate right now, I think you should drink this at least 2 to 3 times per day. Remember to not drink it two hours before or after your medicine. As far as the side affects, I think you're body is reacting negatively to the all the drugs. The Prevacid made me get horrible dry mouth and dry eyes and so did the famotidine. By the time I went off the Aciphex, my lining had healed up to the point where I could tolerate normal levels of gastric juices. You know, every human being gets some gastric juice reflux at one time or another, however, if it becomes too much and too frequent, that's when problems begin. In additional to all that I did, I took Gaviscon Tablets. Just like the research says, Gaviscon is by far the best because it contains Elagic Acid which comes from Brown Seaweed. This Elagic Acid sits on top of your stomach and acts as a protective barrier. I used USA brand and also bought Canada brand because Canada's does not have Aluminum and it has more Elagic Acid. I used Gaviscon the first week I began tapering off the Aciphex. I chewed two Gaviscon tablets at least 1/2 hour after each meal. Then the next week, I took it only after Dinner. Shortly after that, I was completely off the Aciphex with no problems. The Doctor had me on 20 mg in the AM and 20 mg in the PM and Famotidine at Noon - can you believe that????? Because of all the chemicals, I developed an intolerance for my regular Migraine medication, causing me to be on another type of SSRI for migraines. I am so grateful to be off of all that medicine. I'm doing great!! I still take my Lexapro every day to boost my happy hormone. I still eat very healthy and I'm very disciplined about how much and when I eat. I am very protective of myself these days and probably will be forever. I can't imagine ever taking chances with my health.
Bread shouldn't cause acid unless it is full of junk stuff. Was it bought at the movies? How about the Pretzel, was it hard and bought at the movies? I don't eat any fast food at movies. I know, I've become a stiff food snob. I hardly eat out at restaurants. When we go out, we only go to True Food Kitchen, owned by Dr. Andrew Weil, a highly respected Physician and Author that lives in Tucson. I cook most of my food and I'm real good at it.
If I were you, I wouldn't start adding more medicine to your regimen and I think you should get the Gaviscon. By the way, has a Doctor have examined your Esophagus? Has the GI gone into your Esophagus and examined it in detail?
I am glad you laughed at the movies, laughing increases Serotonin, our happy hormone.
