How can you check the tightness of your wrap or if it is working properly?

If you don't get heartburn your wrap is probably working.

I feel the wrap working at times. I will get some trapped gas time to time. I never really had heartburn although my PH Bravo Test showed I did. It's just this burning sensation I get in my throat and mouth....

Im replying to a question you had on another thread about the time limit for healing from the nissen surgery.

I believe that healing is an individual thing & you cannot put a time limit on it because everyone heals differently. My surgeon told me that at 6 months your insides are 40-60% healed, that it can take 12-18 months to be considered completely healed & even then things may never return to what was once considered normal.

The damage caused by GERD did not happen overnight (I think it is Denise who has mentioned that several times on this forum) so it is unrealistic to expect to be healed immediately. Believe me this recovery is no quick fix, it takes time & no I dont think your expectations are too high, I think you just need to be a little more patient & allow your body the time it needs to heal completely. It may not happen this week or next or even next month but it will happen.

Relax, stay positive & go with the flow because you still have lots of healing to do & letting the 'what ifs' drag you down will only make that healing harder. Remember you are also a success story.
