Organoaxial Stomach

Hi I have had a barium meal today and been told I have organoaxial stomach, having previously been told following endoscopy that I had a paraoesophageal hernia, this was not shown on CT hence today's barium study.  The radiologist told me that there was probably nothing to be done.  Has anyone had this and if so did they receive any treatment I continue to have discomfort in my chest and back, have still to see the surgeon but was hoping they would beable to operate and correct this problem.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I sure wouldn't just take one radiologist's opinion for gospel. I'd even get another opinion as to whether it's in your chest. I am glad you are consulting a gastric surgeon.

I cannot answer your question as I am not a Dr. but I agree with the others - get to your Dr. and if you feel the need  get a second opinion.    A radiologist should not tell you there is probably nothing to be done. 

Make a list of all your questions and bring it with you to your Dr. appointment.
