do I have GERD

hi all new here need some answers as doctor is not being specific

Little quick background...been under huge amount of stress/anxiety for the past 5 months due to mothers illness and sudden passing...

I occaisonally had heartburn before but that was when i had to much iced tea or smoked to much...nothing major...i started getting heartburn about a month or so into her hospital stay...wasnt eating much or sleeping much...just got worse...went to doc...had blood work done..was low in iron and vitamin d
had ct scan..chest xray..and 3 ecgs

doc has tried me on tecta for about amonth...helped a bit
then tried dexilant...that didnt help at all
now on prevacid for 3 weeks 2 of which he told me to take 2 a day 30mg
seems to be a bit better but still can feel the burning off and on throughout the day and in times of upset or stress i feel the burning worse..i have also lost about 30 lbs since all of this started and was wondering if that could be a contributing factor as well...i am afraid to eat...just been eating salads and yogurt and just recently toast n peanut butter...trying to gain some weight back...

if i could draw a picture of where it hurts i would...but i will describe it to thebest of my ability...
I feel the burning where ribs meet..as well as around the edges of ribs towards the center i call it the the triangle...i also get burning feeling in my chest that spreads to about a handspan on either side of where the ribs meet...i can feel it sometime up in my throat as well...and it sometimes even spreads all the way to my armpits...i have had ultrasound as well and they said no gallstones or kidney probs...it also feels like i have this hard spot right where my ribs meet well just below that spot..dont know what that is...i do get the lump in throat feeling and find that food sometimes feels real slow going down...as well as water feels really cold...and like its spreading across chest.. It also feels like it is cold sometimes around inner rib and stomach area...does anyone else get that.... i know its strange but i dont wanna keep going back to doctors...

the doctor is going to send me for a scope...not sure if i should go or wait till the prevacid starts to work properly i have learned that it can take a while for it to really kick in...does anyone know...

I would really like some answers as the doc has not physically touched me...
he told me i did not have a hiatal hernia but i dunno...
could this all be from stress and anxiety
any tips on foods i should eat
i know to stay away from all the major stuff like caffeine, chocolate booze etc..
Please help...need some answers
