I've had excess saliva and mucus build up in throat for 6 months now. I've tried two nasal sprays which haven't worked and been to the dentist but he said there nothing wrong. Could this be because of my acids and related to lpr or gerd.

It could be a lot of things, but in my case it was one of the symptoms for GERD. Another obvious candidate is an allergy of some sort.

You will only know if you get the proper tests done incl. manometri and 24 hr PH

As Jesper A said, it could be caused from anything but, I had those symptoms for years and they all went away after my Nissen Fundoplication, including asthma (needed a rescue inhaler for it).

Please don't continue to suffer with this. Have the necessary testing done and make sure what you are treating.

hey I went to a ent and he put a camera down my nose and said I'm dehydrated because of something to do with nasal secretions and he said he is 99 per cent sure i have lpr with the mucus in throat. Does anyone know how long with drinking more water my excess saliva will go and how long anti acids start to work.

With LPR, you should look into diet changes. Try "Dropping Acid" by Dr, Jamie Kaoufmann. I do not have LPR, rather I have GERD (nonerosive, or NERD) but her book serves as a guide for me for my diet. I am a bit more rigid with mine than she is as mine is a low carb diet but she does give good advice and food options. I notice that when I am not watching my diet, my reflux gets out of control. I am also on a PPI (for now) you may want to look into medication and see if it is helpful, but PPI drugs do have some side effects and depleate calcium and b12 absorption so I would recomend to try diet changes first.
