Guys,
I have not posted in a while but here I am again as my issues continue. I have Nissen 10 years ago and was fine until about 3 months ago when I felt extreme pressure in my upper stomach pushing into my chest and since then having lots of issues. I am nauseaous all the time, if I could vomit I would but because of the Nissen I can't. I get very bloated, chest pains, tightness in the throat, indigestion and lots of chills from the stomach pain. I also noticed I feel much worse when I eat something fatty - when I keep my diet clean I feel little better. I get full just by drinking a sip of water in the morning - also feel like I need to burp but I can't and have that pressure in upper stomach/chest that gas or whatever it is is pressing against the wrap causing either esophageal spasms and pain. I am also feeling burning in the stomach sometimes and pain goes to my back as well. I had endoscopy with ultrasound - doctor said everything looked good besides mild gastritis (3 month ago - been taking aciphex). I also called my surgeon and did barium test and he said it looked great and that the wrap is still intact. So since my endoscopy and barium came back normal, all I am left with is Aciphex that that doesn't really do anything - I don't even feel like what I have is reflux because it doesn't really feel the same as it used to for so many years before I had the surgery.
I have an appointment with another Gastro doctor on Wednesday so I am hoping he can help me figure out what the problem is. Maybe he can do HIDA scan to see if my gallbladder is OK since I feel much worse after eating fatty foods - I am really hoping he can figure out the problem because I am struggling.
My question is did anyone have gall bladder issues after they had Nissen and what were the symptoms - also, what fixed the issue? Did anyone had it removed and did that fix the problem? I am sorry to ask so many questions, but when you don't feel good you are desparate to find some relive and answers.
Thank you.
