Hi Sam,Bloating can be a fairly common problem post-Nissen surgery. There are a few things I'd remind you about...
- Be sure to stay away from straws, as they can introduce more air into your stomach...
- No carbonated beverages
- no "gassy" foods
- Here are two eating guides...it will give you information about what foods to chooe

As you heal, this bloating discomfort will gradually diminish. If you can get any air burped out/released from your stomach, try Gas-X. It can help get the gas out if you have any air release at all.
From what I've heard, it seems that the bloating improves at around the three month mark for most people. Hang in there. I know it's hard. I expect you've discussed these problems with your surgeon, but be sure to let your doctor know when you're having problems. It's their job to help you through all this.
Glad you've joined us! I'm sure others will be by to offer support and suggestions.
Best wishes,
Denise
