Right side pain you could set your watch to

Eat a meal, wait, then brief pain under right ribs. Diagnosed with gastritis through endoscopy, but this seems farther right than the stomach. Am on 80 mg Prilosec for gastritis, which is not healing quickly.

The timing is what's so interesting. If I have only melon, for example, (a quick digesting food) the pain comes abut 45 minutes after a meal. A normal meal (e.g. Chicken and rice)'the pain will come 2 hours later. I can sit there and watch the clock and predict it.

location is in the gallbladder area, but im not eating much fatty food at all and the pain is very brief. I would think it is just gas, but would gas strike me every single time I eat?

So is this just the gastritis manifesting itself farther right? Or can such a high dose of PPI cause pain like this? I am already eating super healthy and am out of ideas after 6 months of this. Help?

Sorry to hear of your problems but it is a hard question to answer.  I would advise you to be your own best advocate and perhaps look for a second opinion re what is causing the pain. Did your Dr. test you for Helicobacter pylori, if not I would ask for the test.
