Hello Fellow GERD Sufferers:
I just wanted to share my experience of going to an amusement park for an entire day. I made sure I packed a cooler bag of food because I was not sure there would be anything for me to eat there. And I was right. There is NOTHING for people who have food restrictions. In this day in age, it is shocking to me that there is absolutely nothing healthy at all at these places. Luckily i was able to talk to security and they allowed me to bring my food into the park.
I did not want to go because of the GERD issue but I went because 1. I have to live my life still and 2. My husband has been complaining that we have not done much since my GERD flare up and we got free tickets. I was able to make it through and I did have some fun, but it was just a huge hassel with the food thing. Other people just do not understand that a simple day at an amusement park is anxiety and stress provoking for people with GERD. My husband helped cook and pack food for me, but I felt bad that I had to stop and eat through the day and wasted money on lockers to store the cooler bag. I know that there is nothing I can do about the fact that I have GERD, it just really stinks sometimes.
