How much time for a scope?

I called my Dr. this morning and he stated not to have anything done for a year...

Reason I want to get an endoscopy is so that I can get a second opinion about my condition, my current diagnosis is not very clear.. I've been getting treated at a Naval Hospital, I had an endoscopy about 5 years ago, I never received the results. I never knew there was lab involved, I thought they would just look inside and that was it. Well, I was wrong, had an endoscopy early this year and found out that I had, Hpylori, acute gastritis, intestinal metaplasia and esophagitis... Yikes!! Had lap nissen on 19 Sep.

Don't know the extent of my Barretts, its hard to get information. I was referred to an outside Gastro (at my request) and I have to schedule an appointment.

Just wanted to get an idea of how long I should wait for an endoscopy. Once I see the new Gastro I'll let you know what he recommends. Thanks for all you do in this forum.

Thanks for asking. As you may know I am on my 9th week post op. I golfed at week six with no problems, I just felt a little more tired after the round of golf than preop, other than that all was fine.

I ran 2 miles yesterday, no problems either. Today my thighs are a little sore and that is expected from lack of exercise in the last 3 months. I plan on continuing with my runs to try and achieve my condition prior to the operation. I had been runnink 10ks and even a half marathon (13 miles) prior to my operation. I know it will take time but I am working on it. My recovery has been excellent, have not had any complications whatsoever. I just watch what I eat and try to remind myselft to eat slowly and chew chew chew..
