I had TIF procedure for GERD on Oct. 552, approx 6 1/2 weeks ago. The surgery went very well and the recovery has gone well too. I am able now to "eat anything I want" (quote from Dr. Bax). I do but really had a problem with Coke. Then I realized that I will probably have problems with that for the rest of my life. I can live with that. At any rate, I was only on liquids for eight to ten days then went to soft foods. I do feel a feeling of my swallower not working too well when I eat things that are doughy and also sweet stuff. I am 73 years old, have suffered with GERD for about
18 years. Dr. Tim Bax is only doc in Spokane that does the procedure but he did it very well. I will be forever thankful that I had this done. I hope others will consider it. No incision, just all done through the tube in the scope.
