I read this idea on another forum, mentioned it on another thread but I think it deserves a thread of its own. The person gargled as often as 50 times per day. I think this makes a lot of sense for neutralizing pH in your throat. Evamore or any of the alkaline waters might work best, but she/he just used plain tap water.

I didn't know this was a thing but I gargle fairly often (with alkaline water) and it does give me relief! Sometimes I try and get the water to go even further back by looking up and using my throat muscles!
RE: Alkaline water I've been drinking it for over three weeks (almost a gallon a day) and i don't think it's done anything. I still hope and believe that doing everything right will help me but deep down I know nothing will tighten my LES and I'll eventually need surgery.

Gargling with warm salt water helped me a lot when my throat was acting up--I didn't do it 50 x/day, but a few times and I think it did speed the healing.

The other person found salt water and sodium bicarb too drying, but your lesser frequency would certainly be more convenient. Thanks for letting us know. I wish I had thought to try this when my Lpr symptoms were bad.

Hmm..maybe too much salt? 1/4 tsp per 8 oz--gargle 30-45 sec. Shouldn't be *too* salty

Djones, are you in the UK? I am thinking of getting the pepsin test from Biomed. Do you have LPR symptoms?
Thanks for the info, please keep us posted, I would be very interested to see how you get on.
