Does anyone else get pains in their throat area from gerd....even in the neck part of your throat? I know it's common on the top part of your throat but just wondering about further down in your throat or lower part of your throat might be a better way to explain it? Doc says it can take up to 8 weeks to heal.....trying to be patient.

I have yet to have a fundo but I do have pain in my neck and my ears. that is why I finally went to an ENT and discovered that my throat, voice box and ears are now being affected by my GERD. So off to see a surgeon on Monday. SO yes this could be a symptom of GERD.

Thank you....My ent told me wed sore throat was from the gerd...which I knew but I forgot to mention that my lower throat had aches and pains also. I hate it when I forget soemthing because that it racks my brain forever on what ifs~ I am seeing if meds will help mine...then we go from there I suppose~ he says up 6-8 weeks before you could see improvement~
