when i had my endoscopy, i was told i had a 5 cm tear and thats what was causing my heartburn, is this how the majority or caused or something else?

i think i did mine at work because i remember the day it happened and thinking something wasn't right because i was getting heartburn all the time and i'd never had suffered from it in the past.

I have been reading that hiatus hernia the cause of many many different ailments and since sometimes it is sliding like mine so hard for MDs to diagnose. Mine isn't a tear, I don't think. I think is from bad posture and also came on during pregnancy which is common.

Mine comes and goes and after I found out about the ileocecal valve correlation, I have been able to keep it down. I have posted twice about this today so I don't want to seem like a spammer. Has anyone watched the video link that liatris posted? It's interesting if anything, I'm looking for aany thoughts or opinions.
