I had posted my own personal experience with hig ph water a few days ago.. i drank esentia and tru water both between 9 and 10.
I found it helped a lot with my throat and other gerd issues.
HOWEVER, after a year of drinking this type of water i started getting extremely dry mouth and tongue. I would wake up and drink some water and then my tongue would be like a desert. and last all day. it took me a while before i stopped the high ph water. what happened? My dry mouth and tongue got better. so, i went back on the water a fw weeks later and the same thing happened.. Very dry mouth tongue. very dry. so dry i was getting sores near the glands on my tongue.
after searching the web i found a you tube post where someone was explaining it works for a while but then can cause dehydration. and this was true for me. meaning the water would go right through me. his suggestion was to lower the ph and try it again. so i went out and bout REAL Water with a ph of 8 and so far i have not gotten the extreme dry cotton mouth/tongue.
I eat fairly well and take a ppi. I truly believe that high ph water can cause unwanted side effects such as dehydration. In my case i found this to be the case.
curious if others will find the same thing? its so new now and we will find out as the year(s) go on.
perhaps i was getting too alkaline? who knows but i will tread lightly and only drink a ph of 8. not higher. just my two cents.
Hi Teacherman,
Thank you so much for your information. I was wondering if your throat continued to be better after not drinking this alkaline water?
Thank you and I hope you are getting better and better every day.
