Aspirated again......9 days before surgery! So upset.

Hi all.

Around 5am this morning, I woke up twice coughing. No gerd in my mouth but sore esophagus. By 9am, my temp was 103! I called pulmonologist on call. He increased......once again.....my prednisone and now on antibiotics again. This is the 3rd time I've aspirated. I was doing so much better this last week. Now I'm in full blown tears.....so upset. Hoping my surgery wont be cancelled. Did any of you go into surgery with a fever? To make matters worse, my nose just started bleeding again. I feel like this is going to be the death of me.

Oh jeez......please say some prayers for me. I have fever under control with Tylenol and prednisone helped as well as antibiotics. My doctors say my lungs will not heal unless I have the surgery. I really need to get this done. Hopefully, the anesthesiologist will agree to sit in on the case. I was told that would be the hold up, if any. I was in denial about status of my lungs.....but today has opened my eyes to just how bad they are.
