Hi sreynolds,Actually, you're the first one who has even mentioned this concern/question. Hopefully somebody will be by with information, as I scoured the internet and didn't find anything very helpful. I did find evidence to make me suspect that the procedure could do damage to the wrap, as it can cause damage to non-wrapped upper GI tracts.
Of course the obvious question is whether or not it would work with the wrap in the way of the air that is being forced out of the stomach. No clue. I would guess that for people who are able to burp/vomit at least some air would be allowed past the wrap. Forcing air like that is very different than the normal stomach pressure.
Okay, I'm rambling without the background knowledge I need to be of any help.
I suggest you call your GI doc/surgeon's office and ask the question to see what they have to say.
