Hi Linda,Welcome to the Wrapped Club! Glad to hear your surgery went well and you're on the road to recovery! I'm happy that you walk, walk, walked, and that it helped your shoulder pain! I am still thankful to the night nurse at the hospital who gave me that advice!
Like you, they gave me straws, coffee, and carbonated beverages in the hospital. Yikes! I'm so glad I'd found this forum shortly before my surgery and knew how to advocate for myself!
You're lucky to have such an accommodating surgeon! Don't forget that you will need to have anti-nausea drugs on hand forever and always now that you've been wrapped. I carry them in my purse, just in case. Better safe than sorry!
Be sure to ask any questions that come up. If you can surrender to your recovery and follow it where it leads you, you'll do fine. You can't rush this. Just go with the flow. Listen to your body...it will know what's best. If you can accept your recovery as it is, you'll find it much easier.
Again, glad you're home and healing!
Best wishes,
Denise
