Susupected silent reflux

Oh wow you didn't mention the rest, gosh yeah maybe it's not LPR but it is something, do you guys have ENT out there? he or she will be the next doctor I see and make sure to get fiber optic scope to look into your larynx to see if it's LPR or not thats how I was diagnosed with that, its more accurate because the edg does not work only sees your esopgus and sometimes us LPR'er have just mild irritation or no reflux so it's best to get the scope into voice box, it goes through the nose and into back throat. But darn that sounded a lot like my early symptoms, but I really do hope its cold on top of something else, but def do your exploration like I did. Are you gonna do the pepsin test, I think you should wait until you get your endoscopy done but def check into that water it has diminished my sour taste but I still have symptoms. My globus is weird too, worse in morning and gets better through out the day which is weird. Sometimes doctors are wrong in diagnosing things and we must look for the right ones, no offense but I had my share of doctors where I had to thoroughly research them before going into visit.

Hahaha no medicine for me, I am done after my PPI try out, made my GERD turn into LPR I swear if I could go back in time and change how my first doctor just gave me pills like everything was going to be okay, I just know all this could be prevented but I wasn't aware of the natural remedies that were out there but maybe you might need medicine, but def come to for advice or anyone on here you can hear stories for days how it works for some people and not for others.

Fiber optic is this painless new technique where an ENT (we call it otoneurologist, or the ear nose doctor) I do not know if your country has it but basically they numb your nose for like 15 mintues and then once it's numbed a small little tube is stick through your nose to check for any acid/redness in your throat and that's usually how the confirm things or you can have larynscopy which is like the same thing but you are under sedation, and usually this is used to removed biopsies and stuff, I might have this done in couple years if anything becomes worse. Yeah I heard about those medicine but I never had them, I heard they do some weird things to your nerves, hmm I might be wrong, but whatever you do make sure you bring up all these things you have come across to your doctors, because you might be more educated on the whole subject than they are since LPR is so new and fresh, the thing about this disease is having right doctors! Print out the studies, the info anything for proof just incase they try and counter attack you with YOUR FINE IT's nerves LOL! so get the throat checked after the esophagus results and that should rule both GERD/LPR

Ps. all my doctors hate me because I always say how I think you should reevaluate or I demand this test haha! It's not my fault I am more aware of things then them ****! but it's also lack of knowledge in my area about LPR.

I am not on anything yet, but I am suppose to get some additional tests done on may 7th and after that I got to my ENT I already have couple of things I want him to give such as carafrate, but gosh my I got really bad dry throat and mouth because I think pepsin/bile on refluxing into my mouth is drying out everything, it was so painful to talk yesterday at my job cause it felt like someone was rubbing sandpaper in back my mouth, I feel so helpless past two days, I hope this is temporary, and I called my doctor to prescribe me something he goes umm, i don't think LPR causes dry mouth/throat (in my head I am like yeah it does,) LPR is so new that like no one in my area is really familiar with all the details yet. uh viper what should I call you now? :)

Is carafrate the medicine toget rid of globus?

Im feeling ok today the globus is there but not as strong as yesterday cause I was stressed and angry lol I just want this globus to go away, the gargling has helped alot, I now gargle ACV at night and first thing in the morning when I brush my teeth with Non flouride toothpaste (organic toothpaste) , but still onthe hunt for pH 8.8 akaline water, im going to order a flask soon and make my own akaline water australia luckily has a akaline company called alkalife, might pay them a visit soon to see thier machines and flasks !

How you feeling today? I really think you should take something to halt the acid or pepsin from coming up !

Sorry to hear that your not feeling well, I also have trouble talking and laughing sometimes,

but They should help you, cause you did the tests, let me know what happens with ya and what meds theyll give you, I really think pepsin is the culprit and not acid, cause the acid is being blocked by the meds ! theres a mdicine called pepcid, over the counter I think it blocks pepsin, Not too sure :/ ill see into it, but its a h2 blocker like zantac only Im hoping it blocks pepsin, you think you'd wanna give that a go?

Try not too fast, You have to eat something, eat off the dr koufman menu, and just when you're finished eating, gargle filtered water with sea salt or ACV (pick one) then after wards, trust me youll get out all the leftover pieces that you think thats getting stuck in your throat, cause I know the globus sometimes messes your swallowing reflex abit !
