I have some similar symptoms. No heartburn, but globus sensation in throat and my voice is weak and gets tired easily. I can feel my larynx getting sore if I talk too loudly or too much. I don't have any airway issues or ear issues. The ENT doc scoped me and saw some redness in my larynx so now I'm taking Dexilant 60mg and it has helped quite a bit but not completely gotten rid of my throat issues. I had an endoscopy which showed that my esophagus is fine. I also had the manometry and 24 hour pH test. They showed that the dexilant is working, and that while I do have more reflux than normal people, it is not too much more and I'm able to get it down quickly by swallowing. The doctors recommended not doing surgery at this point and just continue with ppi.
When I first started taking the PPI it took a while to really work, like almost a year in my case. After two years the globus sensation was totally gone, though my voice was still a little weaker than normal and I couldn't sing, but I could communicate just fine. It doesn't affect my quality of life too much other than I have to avoid yelling. So if you're thinking of taking a PPI, realize that it will take a while to totally work, but it might be worth it.
You might try taking some mylanta too if your reflux is super bad occasionally because it coats your throat and feels nice.
