Burping and weird symptoms after manometry and 24hr pH

So I had my manometry and 24 hour pH test done about four weeks ago. Since then I have felt weird stomach pain/slight bloating which hasn't gotten any better. It's not very severe but I wonder if it might be a hiatal hernia. I suppose it could be a side effect of my PPI, though I have taken my PPI for 3 years without any problems. Also just recently I have started having burps with a weird taste and last night I had a huge burp that really burned my throat and mouth. Has anyone ever felt anything similar after having a manometry and 24hr ph test? I'm hoping that maybe it's just a side effect of the PPI since it does say that stomach pain and bloating can be a rare side effect.

I'm thinking the testing irritated your stomach and has your GERD reacting more.

Gosh I have mine scheduled on Tuesday and I am kind of scared to go through with it, I had barrium done, I was wondering isn't that enough to answer the questions for ENT? I am call my doctor tomorrow. Hope you feel better, did it hurt?

Don't worry about it, I think that it's a very safe procedure and complications are extremely rare. I won't lie, it's not necessarily comfortable, but it's definitely not that bad. The 24 hour pH test for me felt a little weird at first but I got used to it as the day went on. It was a little painful and uncomfortable getting it put in initially but wasn't too bad.

Is it possible to suffer flare up or rebound from stopping drugs in order to do the pH monitoring? One of the things that scares me about the tests is the thought of having to be off meds first!

My doctor let me stay on my meds for my testing. I had the BRAVO instead of the 24hr test.

You just feel gaggy while they are inserting the testing tube. They put it through your nose down to your stomach and have you drink 10 perfect swallows of water.

I've also noticed that I have a little bit of trouble breathing deeply. Like I feel that I can only take shallow breaths. So basically my symptoms are: lpr, stomach pain, trouble breathing deeply, increased frequency of belching. Has anyone had these symptoms as a result of a hiatal hernia?
