Gerd / Gastritis / Cancer .. :( help

Hi,
For the past 2 months, about a half hour after I eat most foods, I get severe nausea and feel so ill, and it lasts for about an hour to 4 hours of on and off nausea.

I have also been having a feeling of a lump in my throat for a while now after I eat too but chalked it down to acid reflux, as the nausea and lump usually subsides after taking an antacid or two or chewing gum. But recently my appetite has being waining towards certain things..
However, could it be something else such as an Ulcer or gastritis, .. or worse? Im a 17 yr old male btw.
I'm getting genuinely scared it could be some form of cancer .. booked in to see a doctor this week..

help :(

I don't think cancer would be likely. Your symptoms are classic GERD symptoms.

I had this same general problem. Had a check up on my digestive track. Have a stoma from my intestines due to bladder cancer. I do have a hiatial hernia which seems or could be some cause of my gerd problems. I tested spices as a possible cause. Various fresh and store packaged juices. I began to notice that my bowel movements were not regular and somewhat difficult. I am retired and do not get the daily physical activity that I would have. Some weeks that I am really active I don't have much if any stomach problems. I got to using powder that is added to water to be a digestive aid and drinking more water which most people do not do!!! Also taking a digestive enzyme with meals. And doing some exercising, and some good outside walks. I have a dozen pieces of exercise equipment, and, anyone would assume I use it !! For the last few months I been doing what I should be doing and I am better. No reflux/ No stomach pain. Probably because my crap is moving and my stomach can do a good in load and down load. If there is no flow there is no "go".

Cancer is far from likely, your symptoms are textbook gastritis and gerd.

The doctor should give you some PPIs so your gastritis can heal, should also help GERD too.

Try taking a ginger supplement, I found this really helped reduce nausea from gastritis.

Be patient, gastritis can take a long time to heal. Avoid acidic, spicy and fatty foods. No alcohol, coffee or carbonated drinks. Be kind to your stomach for a few weeks and it should improve.
