Happy Mother's Day as well.
Gail, I found the best thing for the inflammation is liquid carafate just once or twice a day for about
a month +/-. Mylanta and Peptobismol do the same thing, but I don't think that can be taken as long term. To me carafate is the gold standard for speeding up the healing of that inflammation. -- Have you tried one of the other h2 blockers, like Tagament. I think famotadine is the generic. There is at least one more. All of the ppi's didn't work for me. Maybe another h2 blocker would help. Talk to your pharmacist about
the different ones.
Alan, welcome. You may need to try the low carb diet others are finding success with. There is a whole thread devoted to the Fast Track diet. Ae you doing other things, like raising the head of your bed up, not eating 4 hours before going to bed, things like that may help some. I hope you get some answers after your endo.
Roah, you are so sweet.
I appreciate all the support you provide. It is nice to have some place to come and just talk about
the daily trials and tribulations.
Viv, I am hoping that if I can add fat back to my diet I might be able to gain weight or just not lose. I really can't be on a weight loss diet at all.
Hope everyone is doing well. I did go ahead and reduce my Zantac last night and this morning, so I am now basically on 300 mg of Zantac a day. I have needed a little extra antacid, but it's definitely do-able. I even drank a little wine at lunch. Of course, it's a little early to tell if I will pay for that or not.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
