In June 2012 I started experiencing heartburn and stomach problems. The doctors thought it was acid reflux and put me on omeprazole which didn't help much if at all. No medication helped and it got progressively worse. Tests showed my lower eosophagal sphincter isn't working properly but that I also had a gallstone. about
2 months ago I had my gallbladder removed which at first gave a small improvement, but it is starting to get worse again. I am currently on zirid and proursan but am still getting worse. I recently did a barium swallow which revealed I should be getting mild acid reflux but it doesn't feel like it. All endoscopies came back clear, no inflammation.
My day now goes like this. Get up, bad taste in mouth and burning stomach, eat something bad taste fluctuates, I burp ALOT burn subsides for a few minutes, then burn comes back. And so forth all day every day for the past 3-4 weeks. One doctor has suggested the bad taste is bile and that will go with time. But nothing seems to be changing. I can at least sleep without it interfering but this just leaves me wishing the days away, which is no way to live.
I'm writing to ask if anybody has experienced this and has any positive advice. Although my pain isn't terrible it is constant and ruining my life. I need to know things can improve. Please help.

Some ppl get alittle bile reflux after having thier gallbadder out. If your les doesn't work (IMO), you are refluxing acid and I would guess some bile also. Have you tried any diet changes?

Yes I eat very carefully but don't notice any patterns. It has been worse than usual the last 4 or 5 days so I have reverted to eating only rice and have found a slight improvement. But that's no diet to live from. I drink ginger tea and chamomile tea and melissa tea. Maybe I'll try adding one or two extra things over the coming days but even on this diet I have a constant burn in my stomach and occasional bad taste in my mouth :(

Anuszki,
I have also the same feeling you've mentioned every day. I was on omeprazole for a week but the feeling become worse. so i switched into Lansoprazole that give me a little bit relief. Im also very watchful on food I'm eating that cause lose weight for me. Im negative on gallbladder, No Ulcer whatsoever. I had an Upper G.I Endoscopy yesterday and the findings said Gastro-esophageal Jucntion : upward displacement, z-line is located about
38 cm from the incisors teeth, regular, No GERD, No H. hernia, just INCOMPETENT CARDIA and also biopsies have been taken for Lab test which the result not yet ready. My doc now put me on Pantoprazole and domperidone starting today for 1 week.
