I had my full wrap Nissen April 24 and have since been bothered by bad breath, despite brushing of the teeth or eating ; seems to never go away ! Any one else have this and know why this is and is this going to go away? Linda

Are you getting dry mouth since the surgery? I did due to some meds and that can cause bad breath.

No, no dry mouth. And no new meds...family can't detect the bad breath, but boy I can. Linda

I had the same issue for 2 weeks after my Nissen. When I woke up every morning my tongue was coated with a yellowish white substance; just horrible. It went away as fast as it came. Brushing my teeth and tongue did not seem to help. I also had a bizzare change in my taste buds. Nothing tasted like it had enough salt. Fortunately these symptoms have gone. Now I just wish the gas would go away.

How long ago did you have you Nissen? Mine was April 24th. I'm just now eating anything I want, no straws or carbonation though. I'm just hoping this goes away as my nutrition level gets better. Linda
